Phillip DiMartino

Mr. DiMartino attended Genesee Community College in 1980, then began a career with Brunswick Bowling and Billiards, a national firm that once managed more than 100 bowling centers around the world, as well as sold both commercial and personal bowling equipment and products. During his tenure, he achieved the Ring of Excellence honor for top sales performance and was a member of the Bowling Hall Fame-Batavia. He then joined the John Deere/Sentry Insurance in 1996, earning President Club status for top sales. Now, as an independent insurance broker for Moore Insurance Agency, he specializes in insuring equipment and auto dealerships. Mr. DiMartino served on the United Memorial Medical Center Foundation Board for six years. He is a life-long resident of Batavia, where he and his wife Susan raised their two children and most recently welcomed their first grandchild.

Donna Ferry

Ms. Ferry is retired and past CFO and Director of S.J.F. Construction Inc. located in Darien Center.  She is a proud graduate of Genesee Community College and holds a Bachelor of Science from University of Nevada, Las Vegas.   She is an alumnus of Leadership Genesee (2007).

Ms. Ferry has held each officer position on the Board of Trustees since her appointment and has served on all Board Committees. She also serves as Chairperson for the New York Community College Trustee Foundation.

In addition, Ms. Ferry is a volunteer for Gateway Hospice Home in Wyoming County.

Gary GraberGary Graber

Mr. Graber has served a lifetime in the transportation industry and most recently retired after forty-two years as Darien Town Justice. He continues to serve the judicial community as a Judicial Ambassador and Facility Member for the National Judicial College, Reno, Nevada providing courts throughout the country with educational topics focused on the reduction of crashes and saving lives.

Focus on the improvement of our judicial system here in New York also continues to keep Mr. Graber involved, as a former officer and past president of the New York State Magistrates Association he now serves on the Executive Board as a Legislative Co-Chair and Liaison to the New York State Association of Court Clerks as well as several federal level stakeholder groups devoted to traffic safety.

The continued admiration for Genesee County has also been the reason for his involvement as a board member for the Tonawanda Valley Federal Credit Union, Genesee County Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse and the Genesee County Parks Advisory Board.

He has received many awards, including the Leadership Award from the Genesee County Magistrates Association, the 2005 NYS Magistrate of the Year Award, the 2006 Criminal Justice Award from Genesee County Alcohol and Substance Abuse, and the 2013 Kevin E. Quinlan Award for Excellence in Traffic Safety in Washington DC.

Mr. Graber is also a proud graduate of Leadership Genesee Class of 2005 where he has since received the 2006 Outstanding Alumnus and Barry Miller Lifetime Achievement Awards.

David Hagelberger

Mr. Hagelberger earned an AAS Electronic Communications degree from SUNY Alfred State and a BSEE from SUNY University of Buffalo. He began his carrier as a design engineer working on U.S. Military Defense projects for Sierra Research Corp. in Buffalo New York. He worked for the company through several ownership changes in various leadership positions for 44-years retiring in 2012. In 1998 he was appointed to the Town of Darien Planning Board and soon became the chairman.  In 2003 he was elected Town of Darien Supervisor and reelected to three additional terms, retiring in 2019.  During that period, he was a member of the Genesee Association of Municipalities and served as their representative for various committees.  Dave and his family have resided in Darien since 1973 where he and his wife raised their three children. Since then their family has grown to include four grandchildren.

Diana Kastenbaum

Ms. Kastenbaum earned her BA degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. She has been an owner in her family business, Pinnacle Manufacturing Company, Inc. for over 45 years. In 2014, she became the CEO of the company making her one of only a handful of women CEOs in the manufacturing field of tool and die casting in all of North America. In addition, she owned her own tech consulting company for 25 years. She has devoted herself to numerous national political endeavors and in 2016 ran for Congress in NY-27. Ms. Kastenbaum is dedicated to her community and has served on the Board of Directors of the Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council (GOART) as their Vice President and on the Landmark Society of Genesee County as Vice President and a member of their Board of Directors. Diana was born and raised in Batavia and is married to Hiram Kasten, a professional actor and comedian. They have a daughter, Millicent, who is a student at Fordham University School of Law in New York City.

Maureen Marshall

Ms. Marshall is a lifelong resident of Genesee County and is co-owner and Vice President of Torrey Farms, Inc., a 10,000 acre family farm.  Ms. Marshall has held each officer position on the Board since her appointment, serving two years in each position:  Secretary, Vice Chair, and Chair.  Her family has farmed in the area for over 200 years and includes operations in Genesee, Orleans, Niagara, and Yates counties.  She was the first Chairman of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee, served as Chairman of the United Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Association Foundation and continues to serve on several other agricultural associations at the state and national levels.  The family business has been recognized at the state and national level receiving the Grower Achievement Award from the American Vegetable Growers Association in 2013.  Other past awards include the Packer’s Produce Person of the Year award in 1999 and the New York State Agricultural Society Business of the Year in 2001.  In addition, Ms. Marshall has been affiliated with numerous organizations including the New York Federal Reserve Board, Erie Niagara Insurance Board of Directors, and the New York Farm Bureau.  She holds a BS Degree in Home Economics and Mass Communications from Iowa State University.  She and her husband Paul also co-own a trucking business and are the proud parents of three daughters.  Ms. Marshall is a 2014 recipient of the New York Community College Trustee’s Marvin A. Rapp Distinguished Service Award.

Sarah Noble Moag

Ms. Noble-Moag is a co-owner and manager of Noblehurst Farms in Linwood, a multi-family, seven-generation farm corporation. She oversees human resource and personnel management of the farm staff and the Linwood Management Group. Ms. Noble-Moag is the past president of the Board of Education for the Pavilion Central Schools and continues to serve on the audit committee. She also serves on the Agricultural Affiliates Board of Directors providing leadership to build a strong agriculture workforce in the Northeastern U.S., as well as on the Northeast Agricultural Education Foundation and the Genesee Gateway Local Development Corporation. She is a graduate of Cornell University’s College of Human Ecology with a BS degree in Consumer Economics and Public Policy and a graduate of Class VI of LEAD New York. She and her husband, Timothy Moag, CPA have three grown children and five young and very active grandchildren.

Mary Alice Panek

Ms. Panek began her education at Genesee Community College with a degree in Humanities.  She then continued on to State University College at Brockport and completed a Bachelor’s of Arts in English and a Master’s of Science in Education. Mrs. Panek has been a classroom teacher in kindergarten through twelfth grades.  She is a past member of the Genesee Region Teachers’ Center executive board.  Mrs. Panek has been active in her community serving as a board member for the Stafford Historical Society and has participated in veterans outreach programs.  Mrs. Panek lives in Stafford with her husband Ron.  They are the owners of Stafford Nurseries, a Christmas tree farm.

Jacalyn Whiting

Ms. Whiting has an extensive list of volunteer work in her community including 28 years of service on the LeRoy Central School Board of Education (she is currently the President of the School Board) and a member of the LeRoy Business Council, just to name a few.  She retired as the Recreation Director for the Town of LeRoy in the fall of 2019 where she had designed the summer recreation programs for children in grades K-8.  She holds a Bachelor’s of Professional Studies degree in Recreational Therapy from SUNY Brockport. She was named LeRoyan of the Year in 2011.  She and her husband Reid Whiting, an attorney in LeRoy, have four sons and soon to be five grandchildren.

Joshua Jones

Joshua is a psychology major at GCC who plans to transfer to a four-year school to attain his bachelor’s and master’s degree in psychology. He currently works as a Resident Assistant where he sets the example as a model student and resident for fellow students. In addition to this role, he is a work-study, has a published paper in GCC News Courier, and most recently achieved a Dean’s List GPA. Joshua is dedicated to advocating for student needs and improving the college experience for everyone around him.
